2019-2020 L&D chair student projects
This year’s cohort of 19 students is again representative of the diversity of educational backgrounds, nationalities, and preferences that have been the trademark of the L&D chair. This year, students hail from 8 nationalities and come from educational backgrounds as diverse as journalism, law, pharmacy, hospitality, agronomy, engineering, and business.
This year, our sponsor L'Oréal has yet again come up with a challenging project for our students – to create social start-ups that can be incorporated within L'Oréal to address CSR issues such as gender, displaced populations, age diversity, domestic violence and climate change. Students have been working on narrowing down their focus, and have decided to work on social innovation projects on the following topics: the role that firms can play in childcare for their collaborators, domestic violence,
LGBTQ inclusion, social isolation, integration and inclusion of refugees and their children, and consumer CSR.
The students delivered their projects to L'Oréal in June.
