Based on our research objectives and set within our research framework our current research agenda includes:

  • Quantify the impact of an increasingly diverse workforce on organizational performance

  • Explore DM approaches and trends in France and other European countries

DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE: MULTI-DISCIPLINARY AND INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVES (2011)

We discuss the concept of diversity in different social and legal contexts and from the perspectives of different academic disciplines including sociology, anthropology, psychology, philosophy and organizational theory. We bring a European perspective to diversity issues and combine both practice-based research and more conceptual work. The book stimulates an exchange of ideas around different approaches to diversity challenges faced by businesses and organizations.

DIVERSITY QUOTAS, DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES: THE CASE OF GENDER (2012)

This book offers a global perspective on the application of quotas and affirmative action with a particular focus on gender-related initiatives but raising questions pertinent to other aspects of diversity from a variety of different perspectives. It highlights the complexity and controversial nature of policies and actions in different countries and investigates the variances between and differing justifications for quota policies.

UNCERTAINTY, DIVERSITY AND THE COMMON GOOD (2013)

We discuss different models of socially responsible global leadership. Contributors from leading academic institutions around the world explore unpredictability and how being responsible for social as well as economic outcomes requires multiple intelligences that enable managers to adapt and to develop a sustainable managerial approach. In this book, we develop the connections between experience with diversity and the development of multiple intelligences.

MANAGING RELIGIOUS DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE:

Examples from Around the World (2015)

This book tackles the complex issues multi-national firms are facing as they manage a religiously diverse workforce. We discuss policies and practices of firms addressing the religious and spiritual beliefs of their employee and the role of different legal frameworks. We make recommendations for organizational leaders to not only fulfill their legal obligation but also to effectively attract and retain talent regardless of religious affiliation.
