ONE YOUNG WORLD 2019 - LONDON

One Young World, celebrating its 10th Anniversary, decided to host the 2019 summit back where it all began: London, United Kingdom. It was a culmination of delegate panels (where young leaders from across the world shared their courageous ventures of change), inspirational leaders' talk, workshops, roundtables, networking and so forth. Topics ranging from Climate change, Education, Media freedom, Modern day slavery, Disability/Mental health, Role of AI in bringing positive changes and lamentably still existent: Poverty, were discussed and potential initiatives were brainstormed on. Major companies like Unilever, BMW, L'Oréal, BP, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, and many more were present through presentations and exhibition to display their strong inclination and actions towards positively impacting the planet. 2000 delegates belonging to 190 nationalities swore at the closing ceremony to not "take their dreams to their graves" and bring a change today!
Additionally, the summit exposed all delegates to the art & history of London as the events and dinners were held at some of the most iconic places in the city: Natural History Museum, Royal Albert Hall, Central Hall Westminster, House of Lords, Colombian Embassy..so on.

ONE YOUNG WORLD 2018 - HAGUE

The One Young World conference opened its doors yet again this year in the beautiful and vibrant city of Hague, Netherlands. The Hague, the International City of Peace and Justice organized the 9th annual One Young World Summit 2018. The same year that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights celebrated its 70th anniversary. The CEOs of many well-known companies such as Unilever, DSM, Reckitt Benckiser and Credit Suisse, also shared their commitments to achieve the various sustainable development goals and instilled in youth the confidence that it is indeed possible to do good while doing well. The delegates also had the opportunity to attend two very interesting workshops outside the core summit: One at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and the other at Museon (a museum with a One Planet exhibit themed around the 17 SDGs).
